Top Ten Destinations in Central America

Fuerte Cabañas in Copán Ruinas, rated # 6 as Trip Advisor's Travelers Choice Destination
Trip Advisor has published its 2015 Travelers Choice Destinations and half of them are places we regularly visit on our trips. What about the colonial town of Granada (Nicaragua, #4), laid back with awesome architecture and beautifully located right on the edge of Lake Nicaragua. There’s Copán Ruinas in Honduras (rated #6), a quiet colonial town with cobblestone streets, mostly famous for its fantastic archaeological site. Or # 8, the pristine beaches of West End on Roatan, one of Honduras’ Bay Islands. If you’re more into cities and culture, then Antigua (# 9) is worth a visit with its plentitude of baroque churches and convents. And let’s not forget Belize… This rustic town of San Ignacio (#10) is worth a visit by itself, even more so because of the nearby ancient Maya site Cahal Pec or a canoe trip on the Macal River. This is just Trip Advior’s Top Ten, but there are so many more wonderful places all over Central America. Whichever destination you fancy, Honduras Real Expeditions will take you there!
